EARLY STEPS
A Separation Program for 2-1/2 year olds
EARLY STEPS is a specialized program developed to gently separate the children while they begin to socialize, learn to follow simple directions, and learn to transition easily from one activity to another. Throughout the year, teachers continue to foster their intellectual and emotional development.

Program includes free play in the classroom where children can choose appropriate play from blocks, dress up/dramatic play, various fine motor manipulatives and sensory tables as well as projects planned by the teachers to enhance a 2 1/2 year old's creative abilites.

Each week children attend music where they learn many songs and fingerplays as well as perform a parade with musical instruments.

Both our indoor and outdoor play areas address their gross motor skills allowing them to climb, run, jump, ride bikes and slide...an important time for them to enjoy creative and imaginative play.
PROGRAM: Full year separation program from October through May from 9:00 to 11:00am or 12:10 to 2:10 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoon only.
CLASS SIZE: 11 children with 1 Head Teacher and 1 Asst. Teacher
AGE REQUIREMENT: Children must be turning 2 1/2 by October 1st of the current school year to be eligible.
